Scunthorpe blocks of flats given vote of confidence by North Lincolnshire Homes
HOUSING chiefs have given the four ageing high-rise blocks of flats in Scunthorpe a vote of confidence in the wake of a national report which calls for their demolition.
Boffins at the think-tank the Policy Exchange want blocks like Trent View, Princess, Sutton and Crosby Houses bulldozed and replaced with streets made up of low-rise flats and terraced houses.

But a spokeswoman for North Lincolnshire Homes said: "Our high rise flats are in extremely good condition and well maintained.
"We have recently made significant investments in all of our blocks. There has always been a healthy demand for the flats."
