Scunthorpe court sentences nine offenders

THE following cases have been dealt with at North Lincolnshire Magistrates' Court:

Sharon Angela Robinson, 45, of Ormsby Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change of circumstances. She was required to carry out unpaid work for 120 hours within the next 12 months and was ordered to pay compensation of £2,396.64 and costs of £85.

Stephen Harry Robinson, 22, of High Street, Messingham, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath as required and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance. He was required to have treatment for alcohol dependency for six months at North Lincolnshire Council Alcohol Service, attend the probation service for 27 hours, participate in Driver Awareness for three days, carry out unpaid work for 140 hours within the next 12 months, was fined £100, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and was disqualified from holding a driving licence for four years.

James Alexander McClure, 44, of Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to theft. He was required to be under curfew for 18 weeks and be electronically monitored and was ordered to pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.

Kayleigh Ferguson, 22, of Cottage Beck Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requirements of a curfew order. The order was varied with an additional curfew requirement of one month and electronic monitoring and she was ordered to pay costs of £85.

Rebecca Jane Battles, 40, of Hereward Place, Scunthorpe, was found guilty of failing to deliver to the Secretary of State details relating to the transfer of a vehicle. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £90.

Samantha Burnett, 24, of Dalmation Way, Broughton, was found guilty of failing to deliver to the Secretary of State details relating to the transfer of a vehicle. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and costs of £90.

Andrew Roy Carpenter, 43, of Woodcross Avenue, Bottesford, was found guilty of failing to deliver to the Secretary of State details relating to the transfer of a vehicle. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £90.

Wayne Downie, 30, of Brandon Road, Scunthorpe, was found guilty of using a motor vehicle which was unlicensed on a public road. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £72.92 and £90 costs.

Steven Gladding, 42, of Moorwell Road, Yaddlethorpe, was found guilty of using a motor vehicle which was unlicensed on a public road. He was fined £600 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £241.67 and £90 costs.
