Scunthorpe funeral of Foxhills car park accident victim Andy Matthews very well attended
Hundreds of people today (Friday, Sept 7) attended the funeral in Scunthorpe of Andrew (Andy) Matthews at Woodlands Crematorium.
Mr Matthews, 51, of Fairmont Crescent, died in an accident when his Seat Leon came into contact with what is thought to have been a barrier, or gate, in the car park at Foxhills sports ground.
The Rev David Swannack, from St Lawrence's Church, conducted the ceremony, which started with the song Simply The Best by Tina Turner.
Mr Swannack said: “Andy was a likeable and amiable man which is shown by how many people have attended today.
