Scunthorpe funeral service for the Rev Donald Cornelius - former Crowle headmaster and Anglican priest
A funeral service will be held in Scunthorpe tomorrow (Tuesday Jan 8) for the Rev Donald Cornelius - a former headmaster of North Axholme Comprehensive School at Crowle and a well-known figure in teaching across North Lincolnshire.
The service for Mr Cornelius, who died aged 81 in Graizelound, will be held at St Lawrence's Church at 1pm.

When Mr Cornelius retired from the Crowle secondary school in July 1993 he was Humberside's longest-serving head and had completed more than 40 years in education.
An Anglican minister, he had been head at North Axholme for 26 years.

Previously he had been head of religious studies at Scunthorpe Grammar School.
In October 1991 he became priest-in-charge of the Gunness and Burringham (St Barnabas) Church.
Over the years he took services in every Anglican church in the Isle of Axholme.
