Scunthorpe panto breaks record for sales figures at Plowright Theatre

THIS year's Aladdin pantomime in Scunthorpe saw sales figures reach record levels. 

The panto which was performed at The Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe has now seen sales figures grow for the last five years.

Sales figures this year have increased by three per cent from 2011/12, beating the previous year's record.

This year, 25 of the shows were sold out.

Tony Peers, the producer of the panto, said: "We always have a fantastic time in Scunthorpe and this year was no different.

"I would like to thank everyone who came to see Aladdin and look forward to seeing you all again next year.

"The Plowright Theatre's general manager, Dan Harris, said: "We are delighted that once again local people have come out in force to see Annie Fanny and co, with many families coming more than once.

"North Lincolnshire residents love the panto and it's great to see it go from strength to strength.

"On the back of the pantomime's success, an Easter panto will take place at The Baths Hall on April 9 and 10.

The Enchanted Entertainment production will feature comedian Bobby Davro and CBeebies star Sarah-Jane Honeywell in The Wizard of Oz.

Tickets are £18 for an adult, £16 for concession and £65 for a family ticket.
