"We found out that Uncle Philip lives the other side of London.
"My cousin found him on the electoral register and then made contact with him.
"We gave him a picture of Philip and arranged a meeting.
"It was a huge surprise for my father and the best present we could give him. He was very shocked and surprised."
Miss Godden said George and Philip were born in Folkestone in Kent and lived there with their two sisters – Phyllis and Marion.
She said: "About 46 years ago, dad moved to Scunthorpe, got a job and remarried.
"Because of a lack of phones and no internet, the brothers lost contact.
"The reunion was an emotional experience and was like something out of a TV programme.
"It was a special day and my father was so happy to see his brother.
"My daughter, Pamela, and I travelled with him for the reunion, so there were three generations of our family in one room.
"It was nice to meet my uncle as I had no memory of him and it was so nice to see my dad that happy.
"The whole day was fantastic."
