Scunthorpe pub regulars love taking to the drink - but not how you might think
Regulars at Scunthorpe’s oldest local The Talbot have claimed a first in North Lincolnshire publand by forming their own swimming club.
Nicknamed The Talibuts, the present foursome of Andy, Raf, Steve and Graham are so keen they are even turning up at 7am when the doors of the nearby Pods swimming pool opens.

The Talibuts are now working on designing their own swimming gear - as this exclusive picture of Raf shows.
Meanwhile, petticoat power is ruling the roost in North Lincolnshire publand, where there are more women in charges of bars than men.

Barmaid Adele Riley, 45, has been promoted to boss at Ashby’s oldest pub the Crown Inn after signing a five-year tenancy deal with the owners at Marston’s Brewery.
Her elevation came after the former tenants Andy and Sandra Rogerson were forced to quit due to ill-health.
Mum-of-two Adele will be helped at the Crown by her eldest son Ben, 24, and business partner Paul Cunningham, 49.
Their first priorities are to step up the live music and sporting side at the Ashby local and are considering bringing back meals cooked on the premises.
Adele, a former student at the Brumby Engineering College, is planning a launch party for family and friends this Saturday (October 27).
