WELL-known Scunthorpe– born rock guitarist, singer and writer Richard 'Rik' Clay has died at his home in Ilkley at the age of 26.

His grieving family led by his parents John and Jill Clay said there were no suspicious circumstances.

John, a former professional rock guitarist himself, said of his son: "Rik was a brilliant shining star.

A former student at the High Ridge (now St Lawrence Academy) and John Leggott College, he started his first band called FULC 10 years ago.

They won the Scunthorpe Rock Open at the town's Baths Hall in November 2001.

The foursome later turned professional, moving to Leeds and releasing three records in the UK and Germany.

A funeral service will be held at Scunthorpe's Woodlands Crematorium on Friday at 11.30am.

Three pieces of his music will be played.

Mourners have been asked to wear informal dress and flowers only to be sent by family.

Donations will be accepted for the family's chosen charity.

His ashes will be scattered over the moors at Ilkley near the Cow and Calf Rocks at about 4pm on September 11.

Fellow musicians in Leeds are planning a tribute concert but a date has yet to be confirmed.

“He was a brave soul revealing all he did. It is such a sad loss to lose someone so gifted and talented who showed us, we all have the ability if we would just open ourselves up. Thank you to the family and my sincere sympathies go out to all those who knew him and loved him. I wonder how many of us have had similar knowledge but kept it within simply because we felt the danger.”

“He was murdered by MI5 British intelligence because he was revealing too much about the Illuminati power structure, and how it will play itself out over the coming years.”

“I never met Rik but I knew of his splendid work at putting the pieces together with symbolism, crop circles, ancient history etc..etc.. from the net. His work was awe-inspiring and will be greatly missed (along with you too Rik!)”

“I'm very, very sad and my thoughts are with Rik's friends and family.

I am - and thousands of others are - grateful to Rik for the work he did exposing those who have hijacked what I call the "Divine Force in the universe that some men call God" (J Maxwell) in order to manipulate and control us.

Rik's work won't be forgotten and I have several of his mp3's saved - especially remembered will be his amazing revelations regarding London 2012=ZION.

God bless you Rik and I hope wherever you are you are safe, happy and at peace.”
