Scunthorpe street robber (18) sentenced to six months
A STREET robber targeted a teenage boy and demanded his mobile phone before grabbing and pushing him, a court heard.
Abel Balde, 18, of Dale Street, Scunthorpe, admitted robbery on November 10.

Phillip Evans, prosecuting, told Grimsby Crown Court that the teenage victim was walking along a road in Scunthorpe and talking to a friend on his mobile phone when Balde and another man appeared.
The teenager refused to hand over his phone and Balde grabbed him in a headlock before dragging him to the ground.

He demanded cash and pushed him back to the ground with his foot, the prosecutor said.
Passing motorist Edward Lawton intervened and got out of his vehicle while the robbery continued, said Mr Evans. Balde and another man ran off.
Mr Lawton followed in his car and invited the boy, who was shaking uncontrollably, to get in, the prosecutor said. He later rang police, who found Balde.
Balde was locked up for six months.
