ABISTRO and tea room has seen more and more customers through its doors since signing up for the Telegraph's Buy Local campaign.

The Terrace Bistro and Tea Room, at the Fair Gardens Plant Centre in Kirton in Lindsey, opened in January this year.

And after signing up for Buy Local, which aims to boost local trade by offering discounts to card holders, owners Diane Severn and Jane Walton have started to see business boom.

Diane said: "More and more people are coming to us since we signed up for Buy Local. They are all coming along because they want to try the home-made food that we have on offer.

Jane has been in the catering industry for more than 25 years and Diane has always had a keen interest in baking.

Situated in the new purpose-built building at the garden centre, the tea room is open every day between 8.30am and 4pm.

The Terrace specialises in home-cooked food, using locally sourced products, including home-made cakes and puddings.

The business is able to cater for large groups, parties and functions, and plans in the future to put on themed nights, involving a meal and entertainment.

The Terrace is offering a special March deal, with two portions of fish and chips for £10 on every Friday of the month.
