Winning contestant on the night Chantelle Oldaker gives it her all at Pub Idol Heat 2 at Campbells.
Contestants stepped up to the microphone in a bid to sing themselves into the final for the chance to secure the overall title and £500.
It was 16-year-old Chantelle Oldaker, from Barrow-upon-Humber, who snatched the top spot at the heat.
She wowed judges with Hurt, by Christina Aguilera, and Run, by Leona Lewis.
When not singing and earning a living as a babysitter, Chantelle, 16, likes to spend time with her family and has an interest in animals and listening to music.
Meanwhile securing herself second place, was Diane Gunther.
The 43-year-old housewife sang Mercy, by Duffy, and Flashdance, by Irene Cara.
In her spare time, Diane enjoys karaoke, reading and cross-stitch.
She said: "It was lovely.
"I was really pleased to get runner up and I was just really shocked as well.
"I've never done anything like this before so I'm not sure what to expect for the other stages.
"When I get over the nerves it will be lovely."
Speaking about the other competitors, Diane added: "Chantelle was fantastic and they all were very good."
The following also performed on the night but were knocked out of the contest: The Perfect Illusion, Markus Gee, David Hurrell, Graeme Drayton and Amy Coote.
The two qualifying contestants Chantelle and Diane will now join Laura Rose Watson, 17, and Lily Winn, 76, both of Scunthorpe, who wowed the judges in heat one and secured their passage into the grand final, to be held later in the summer.
