Smoking cessation clinics for North Lincs schools
EFFORTS to stop children smoking are to be stepped-up within Scunthorpe secondary schools.
Every school will have its own Choices clinic which will focus on helping young people stop smoking.

The clinics, which have been welcomed by experts, will be rolled out by 2010.
At the clinics, free advice about the risks to health from smoking along with evidence-based stop smoking support for young people who wish to quit will be provided.
Phil West, spokesman for the North Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) said: "Choices clinics are liked by young people in North Lincolnshire and we want to give everyone easy access to this important service, of which stop smoking advice will be a part.
"There is no additional cost involved in providing stop smoking services from Choices clinics.
"This is simply an extension of the way in which we have previously provided the service."
The figures are the second set of positive statistics for the region, as it was revealed by The Scunthorpe Telegraph last month that the Adolescent Lifestyle Survey showed that North Lincolnshire teens who are smoking has plummeted by a quarter.
