Snow set to hit Scunthorpe area today (February 22)
Snow is set to hit the region today (Friday, February 22) and will continue through to the weekend.
Latest Met Office forecasts predict that sleet showers will hit the Scunthorpe area at 3pm today and will continue through to 6pm.
It will remain dry until 9pm, when light snow will continue through to midnight.
There are currently no weather warnings in place for the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Looking towards tomorrow (Saturday, February 23), forecasts show light snow will hit the Scunthorpe area at 6am and will continue through to 12pm.
It will remain dry for the afternoon, but light snow will hit again at 6pm and will continue through to the evening.
Temperatures will remain as low as -1C and will not reach higher than 2C.

“UPDATE 2: "experts" say light snow at 6pm tomorrow - check Met Office website in 6 hours and even that will have gone. Get a grip ST.”

“You need to update !!! Now the sleet has gone. If you are a regular user of the Met Office website you will quickly learn how it works. Quite frankly ST you are wasting your time and effort coming up with these warnings as they never come to fruition. Like the snow you alarmed us about yesterday - where was it?? Never mind it makes a story, keeps you employed.”

“Us that are astute look direct on the met office website when we need a weather report. Lets have a seperate weather section for those who want to be told. This is in the NEWS section N E W S - lets have some news not if we can't be bothered lets stick a weather report in.
