Sarah Potter (26), of Belper Court, Scunthorpe, will share her birthday with her new baby son, Oliver Henry Potter, after he was the second new arrival of the year at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
Oliver, who weighed in at 7lb 11.5oz, arrived more than a week early at 2.55pm on January 1.
Sarah and Oliver's dad Jim (27) said: "It's going to be tiring – we have another little boy, and he's only 20 months."
Billy Smith was the first bundle of joy to see in the new year when his birth was recorded at 11.45am.
Mum Lindsay (27), of Cottage Beck Road, Scunthorpe, said: "It's good to be the first of 2009. We were the last into the hospital as well."
And Joanna Kniecien (25), of Buckingham Close, Scunthorpe, had her baby at about 11pm. Simon weighed in at 6lb 13oz.
Joanna said: "It's good having a new year baby. I don't know how it's going to change, everything will be different."
