'Sound plans' for handover to Humberside Police Commissioner
Humberside Police Authority has been praised for its plans for the transition to police and crime commissioners (PCC).
A report published by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary says the authority has "sounds plans" for managing the handover to a commissioner.

The report says: "The police authority remains fully committed to ensuring business as usual and has identified the key decisions that need to be made.
"It has begun to develop some options for the PCC to consider when he or she is deciding how to operate, although these are not yet fully developed.

So far, seven candidates have announced their intention to stand for the role of commissioner, which will replace the police authority.
Voting will take place on November 15, with the successful candidate taking office a week later.
