“You are quite correct tucker, if they were positioned where accidents happen on a regular basis then I could cope with them calling them safety cameras, but hidden behind bushes such as on Westgate in Belton?? Hasn't been any accidents down there in my lifetime and that's a while!”

“Abolutely "tuckeratlarge", you are spot on.......it has reached the stage where the police and "road safety partnerships" are now relying on the money generated for the running of our police forces etc etc. as many people said they would years ago. The point is that central government will fund cameras as they pay for themselves hundreds of times over in their lifetime but not proper coppers on the streets. If positioned correctly where there are trouble spots or REAL problems with speed, then they wouldn't make the money they do presently and so we see them behind bushes such as on Westgate in Belton.......hasn't been an accident down there for about 30 years to my knowledge!”

“When will the idiots in power stop calling these things safety cameras. They are another revenue stream for the authorities.
If they were for safety they would be stationed in far different positions.”
