BRIGG Town were well worth their point in a goal-less draw at Rushall Olympic in a game of few real chances.

Tom Spall proved a threat for the Zebras down the right, going close with one effort that was tipped over by keeper Chris Gemmill.

Neil Spafford also sliced a shot wide of the post as the visitors continued to have most of the play.

There was little to trouble Andy Pettinger in the Zebras' goal.

The second half was well contested with the home team getting forward more, but generally the two defences were in control and few clear-cut chances were created.

Five minutes into the second half, the home side threatened when Justin Nisbett met a right wing cross at the far post but he headed the ball into the hands of Pettinger.

Brigg responded with a shot from Andy Holt which was deflected into the side netting by Gemmell.

Tomorrow night Brigg travel to play a re-arranged fixture at Lincoln United.
