Alice Faulkner and Liam Thompson's wedding day was full of surprises. Former Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett presented a string of them to the couple as part of a Sky 1 TV show called Christmas Presents. Surprises included:
Stars from the Hollyoaks cast serving drinks to the guests at the reception – Jorgi Porter (Theresa), Ashley Dawson (Darren), Nick Pickard (Tony) and Gemma Merna (Carmel).
Chef Jean-Christophe Novelli cooked the head table's food with his own twist on their chosen menu of Vegetable soup, roast beef and cheesecake.
He said: "I hope my food is enough to have given a little bit of warmth to them. They have some fantastic friends and family."

A series of video messages from football stars including Frank Lampard, Arsene Wenger and former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton.
Peter Shilton arrived in a taxi to present the couple with their tickets for a London theatre break to see the Lion King tickets to the premier of the new James Bond film as a honeymoon gift, as well as a signed England shirt.
Fireworks rounded off the end of an amazing day.
