Strictly Come Dancing finalist Dani Harmer to take panto role at Scunthorpe Baths Hall

Dani Harmer - the Strictly Come Dancing TV contest finalist - is to star as Dorothy in the Easter panto production at the Scunthorpe Baths Hall in April, it was announced today.

The star of the Tracy Beaker TV show ill play Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, alongside comedy legend Bobby Davro as Scarecrow and CBeebies’ Sarah-Jane Honeywell as Glinda.

This is being described as Scunthorpe's first professional Easter pantomime.

Enchanted Entertainment, producers of many popular family theatre shows nationwide, are planning another theatrical spectacular but this time at The Baths Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9 and 10, as part of a large-scale national tour.

Producer Jezz Weatherall said: “We’re really looking forward to coming to Scunthorpe during the Easter holidays with this fantastic show. It’s got a great cast of TV stars and an amazing Live Band. We know how popular our Christmas pantomimes are across the UK and we’re now hoping to give audiences another quality family event during the year.”

Enchanted Entertainment will be bringing four action-packed performances of The Wizard of Oz to the Baths Hall, in Doncaster Road.

Director Guy Pascall said: “It’s going to be great fun for all the family both young and old alike.

"Everyone remembers such great characters as the the Cowardly Lion and the Tin Man who needs a heart etc.

"This show will take the original book written by L. Frank Baum and give it a new twist as only Enchanted Entertainment can!”

Tickets: Now on sale - Adult £18, Concession £16, family ticket £65 (two adults & two children).

Performances: Tues 9th - 3pm & 7pm; Wed 10th - 1pm & 4.30pm.
