Sunday disruption for residents near to Keadby Powerstation
Disruptions for residents living near a power station may be expected as a result of an abnormal load delivery.
Thomas Gee, an electrical engineer at Keadby Powerstation, working for SSE, said the abnormal load delivery will take place on Sunday, March 24.

The delivery will take place between 8:30am and 6pm and a full police escort will be provided.
The route has been assessed and approved by various governing bodies as required.

The abnormal load is a 250 tonne (290 tonne total delivery weight) generator transformer, which is to be used as a strategic spare for Keadby and Medway Powerstation.
This high voltage electrical equipment is used to transmit the power that is generated by Keadby Powerstation to the national grid.
