“I never saw this advertised, another flop by solid entertainments for not promoting it properly, its shame because I've actually been to a previous festival and it was good
Chantel McGregor was headlining at that time, and she is fantastic lets hope the next one is promoted better when she returns”

“I didn't even know about it
I know about the March gig now though, and I'd advise anyone that likes blues/rock stuff to get there and see this amazing guitarist”

“I think in this day and age for any event to suceed there has to be 3 major factors. 1. That you have an individual or group of people who are passionate about putting the event on in the first place. 2. A good network of contacts and outlets to advertise and to promote the event. And finally enough people with the passion, time and money to come and support the event (the punters) If you have all three then it will be a sell out.
I think people assume the internet magically gives you the second element for free. That's not the case. Ideally the promoter, the artist, and the venue all need to work hard to spread the word. Just putting it up on their social media page is not enough as unless people are already aware they have a page in the first place their not going to go out of their way to see it.
It's not as easy as we think. 'If you build it..they will not always come'”

“Where I moved from thay held a blues festival in an old municipal hall every August bank hoiday weekend and it is packed including people from other countries visit it. It is the best period of the year for restaurants and take aways, more takings than at Christmas.”
