Swift defeat for Scunthorpe ladies
SCUNTHORPE Indoor Bowls Club's ladies team suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of their Lincoln counterparts in their latest Trudy Bates game.
The ladies finished with just one winning rink and a shot deficit of 79.

The victorious rink, skipped by Marian Swift, won by just one shot, scoring nine without reply in the last four ends.
Marjorie Nash's rink was the best of the rest, losing by only six shots, having been 15-all with five ends to play before dropping two counts of five.
The other three rinks were never in the running, losing by 21, 25 and 28 shots respectively.
Meanwhile, the club's friendly team also experienced a defeat, this time in their annual match with a team from Wakefield.
Scunthorpe went down by 20 shots, with the rinks skipped by Joan Bolton and Pat Wescott being the only two to register a win.
Three rinks lost by just three shots or less, but the remaining two lost by 29 shots between them.
