Speaking in Parliament, MP Martin Vickers (Cleethorpes) said: "I welcome the Secretary of State's recent announcement on the improvement of the A160 into Immingham docks. The next part of the network that needs improving to provide access to the Humber bank ports and industrial areas is the A15 between Lincoln and Scunthorpe, which is in urgent need of dualling. Will my hon. Friend agree to meet a delegation of Members from the appropriate constituencies to discuss the matter?"
Transport minister Stephen Hammond replied: "I would be delighted to accept my hon. Friend's request. I have been meeting a number of Members and groups from their constituencies to discuss the possibility of their qualifying for route-based strategies, and I look forward to talking to him about this matter."

“The A15 between Lincoln and Scunny SHOULD be a dual carriage way with all the proper motorway style junctions that will bring. I can't count the amount of times some donkey has pulled out of a junction and nearly killed me, thank god for ABS
Lorries can only do 40mph on it at the moment causing ********s in Audi and Insignia to overtake at the most inappropriate point. Double whites mean nothing to these idiots.”

“It should have been done 10 years ago but the planners and MP's of the time were to slow or totally inept or both. Now it will be 5 years minimum of talking about the project. It may not be required as the UK economy is going to continue to go down hill and into a possible depression with fuel also slowly running out.”

“Just add periodical passing places/dualling, about a mile stretch at a time, no need for the cost of dualling the whole length of the road. Passing places would avoid the impatience and risk-taking.”

“That's a bit short sighted and doesn't deal with the tractor and lorry problems. We're linked to Grimsby, Doncaster etc by motorway and I think it's time we grasped the nettle with Lincoln. Either that or a railway line.”
