"REFRESHINGLY feisty, ever-evolving and creatively quirky" are not core values one might associate with a globally successful company.

But H&H likes to do things a little differently.

The strategic branding agency, which specialises in internal branding, employee engagement and corporate communications, was founded in March last year by Helen Bissett and Hannah Thoresby.

The two businesswomen had a vision to create a localcompany capable of delivering exceptional brand-building – a company that could successfully compete on a local, national and international level.

And, less than two years later, the company has built up an enviable list of clients, beating global competition to secure a number of prestigious contracts.

However, while having the right skills, ability and determination are key to H&H's success, equally important is Hannah and Helen's desire to make the company a great place to work – a company in which people thrive and succeed because, ultimately, they enjoy being there.

Team "huddles", flexible working and the celebration of achievements helps to nurture a "one-team" culture, while 10 per cent of the company's profits are reinvested into H&H's "Brilliance Plan"– a programme for developing the skills, self-confidence and potential of the team.

A fund is also available to spend on things such as learning a language, driving, conquering a fear or personal coaching, with a year-round "leisure fun-pot" paying for individuals' gym sessions, guitar lessons and Spanish tuition, to name just a few.

H&H also shares 10 per cent of its net profits among its team.

By daring to be different, H&H's client base is growing rapidly while average client spend is currently almost 400 per cent above their original target.

In the first year of trading, the company exceeded its business targets and has already beaten its full year one turnover figure – just five months into its second year.

Today, the company employs nine people while the launch of an intern programme is helping to attract and nurture future talent.

H&H is now on course to smash its year two growth target, and has its sights set on further expansion.

It was also recently shortlisted as Agency Of The Year in the SCM strategic communication management awards, competing against the likes of Coca Cola, Barclaycard, Intercontinental Hotels and Microsoft.
