“So my real weather comment below dated 24/01/13 (3 days ago) has been correct so far then? So the ST decides to report what some already know on Sunday. Strange how DFlated has minus rated comment when the truth is been said.

"Now for the Real Weather
Some one told me that we are going to get a band of snow moving in from the west at some point tomorrow; it is possible this snow will turn to rain as colder air is undercut by warmer Atlantic air. However a more active band of rain possibly preceded by snow will come over the country again from the west butt this time bringing markedly higher temperatures. As these Atlantic weather systems (low pressure areas) come across the country they will bring windy conditions and sever flooding to many areas due the rain intensity higher temperatures and thawing snow on the hills. These milder Atlantic conditions will be with us for an early portion of February before the beast from the East and his mate the Best from the Polar north combine to bring much much much colder weather back across the country from the N/E. Masses and masses of snow (50cm or more) could fall across the UK with most intense falls on the eastern side of the country, these snow events will be accompanied by sever cold temperatures of potentially -24% C or lower in some areas with top day time temperature not expected to reach minus double digit figures. Will you need to prepare? Keep tuned."
