Textiles Direct which has store in Scunthorpe reportedly goes into administration
There are reports that Textiles Direct has gone into administration, putting jobs in Scunthorpe and its other 52 stores nationwide at risk.
The company has a store in the Foundry Shopping Centre in Scunthorpe.

A source said staff have been told to carry on trading as normal.
The staff have been given a notice which said: "It is a shame this has happened, as we are well loved in Scunthorpe."

The Scunthorpe store is believed to have five members of staff.
A spokeswoman for the Foundary said: "We are aware that the company has served notice to appoint an administration agent."
Textiles Direct are yet to confirm the news.

“Sad news to see another chain of shops going into administration, we can but hope some one steps in to salvage it but don't hold your breath, many more who are on the brink will fail until just the strongest survive and profit from our lack of choice. It's not good for the workers as getting another job is not easy and a life on benefits is not easy for some, the sooner a jobs turn up the better to keep up their routines.
The blame for many of the problems are caused by Labour's mistakes many of which are still burried and will show up eventually. I don't support the the present goverment as they are trying to clear up the mess but it is a thankless task, can't see why any party wanted to win the last elections as they will get the blame. Getting us out of EU and ECHR as it was Labour that agreed to the treaty and agreed to all the immigration and benefits they receive.”

“Why turn it political? If Europe and the rest of the world was booming then fair enough. Turn your spite towards the Tesco's of the world who profiteer at the expense of our every increasing cost of essentials in life or the Energy providers who post vast profits whilst bills rise 4 times above inflation. The only thing politicians are at fault for is not putting kerbs on them and the banks - Labour or Conservative.”

“Such a shame and our thoughts are with those that stand to lose their jobs.
Thing is and as much as it pains me to say it, but over the next few weeks there will be many more to follow and many more companies calling in the administrators. But what's most annoying is that the solution is so simple.
Anyway, as long as "Call me Dave" and "Gorgeous George" can hold their toffee nosed heads up high and continue to spiel their diatribe that "Plan A" is working, all the people loosing their jobs will at least know that their pain an dsuffering wasn't in vein.”
