Thomas steams on to big-screen
ANOTHER generation will be able to see their favourite book and animated character in Scunthorpe, when he makes a stop on the region's big screen.
Today sees the release of a new Thomas The Tank Engine movie, and the debut of actor Pierce Brosnan as the narrator.

And it seems the famous train and his friends are still as popular today among children.
At Scawby under-fives pre-school, plenty of the youngsters said Thomas was their favourite.
Today, at 11am, Scunthorpe's Vue cinema will open its doors to parents and children for a special one-off screening of Thomas and Friends: The Great Discovery.
Shannon Togher (two) said: "I like the Tweenies and Dora the Explorer too, but Thomas the Tank Engine is one of my best programmes."
