Town properties targeted by raiders

GARDENS, homes and vehicles have all been targeted by thieves over the past few days.

A metre-high ornate chimney pot was stolen from a garden in Austin Crescent, Yaddlethorpe, on June 26, while on the same date, lead flashing was pulled from two Scunthorpe homes, in Meadow Road and Plymouth Road.

Also on June 26, a CD player was stolen from a car in Buckingham Street, Scunthorpe.

A strimmer, mountain bike and fishing gear were snatched from a garage in Burringham Road, Scunthorpe, on June 27.

On the same date, a Fiat Punto, registration R596 LWH was stolen from Weir Road, Westwoodside, and a Mitsubishi Pajero four-wheel-drive, registration F597 RVL, was taken from North Cliff Road, Kirton-in-Lindsey.

On June 28, a TV and laptop were stolen from Merlin Road, Scunthorpe, and a scooter was snatched from a garden in Holydyke, Barton-Upon-Humber.

On June 29, a crook smashed a window at a home in Hampton Road, Scunthorpe, took the keys to a Vauxhall Vectra, registration T127 NHN, then drove the vehicle away.
