Training for young parents
TRAINING: Young parents in Hull are being helped with personalised and flexible support and training by HYA.
The Hull-based business is offering to help young parents in the town who are not in employment, education or training (Neet) as part of the First Steps programme.
Sally Waugh, HYA operations manager, says the programme will offer new opportunities to the 12 per cent of 16 to 18 year olds on Neet's register.
She said: "We feel the First Steps programme will really plug a gap in Hull. It will open up new opportunities for the hard to reach young people and priority target groups, including teenage parents, young people with special educational needs and other vulnerable young people.
