Tutte prefers Spot at Dale to Scunthorpe
THE lure of a former club was too much for Andrew Tutte to ignore, after the Scunthorpe United target signed for Rochdale yesterday.
The 20-year-old had been set to sign for the Iron within the next few days, after the Telegraph revealed on Wednesday a verbal agreement had been reached.

But the former Manchester City midfielder has had a change of heart, and will pen a two-year deal at Spotland, where he enjoyed an eight-game temporary stint last term, on July 1.
It will also provide the opportunity to work with manager, and ex-City youth team coach, Steve Eyre once again.
"I really enjoyed my loan spell here," said Tutte of Rochdale.
"It was a very good learning experience for me and the club is certainly moving in the right direction.
"Steve (Eyre) knows how to get the best out of me.
"There will be plenty of competition for places and that means you stay on top of your game.
"I cannot wait to meet the rest of the lads and get back in training."
This latest development is another blow to United manager Alan Knill's preparations, after already missing out on a couple of his transfer targets – including Nicky Law – already.

“EpworthBrewer, do not blame the ST for this, it has been the SCFC way of doing things for years, the leaked information will have been generated by the club, so that other clubs show an interest, it also happens when one of our top players have left the club, Wharton always puts the player in the shop window by making a staement that the player is not for sale, ie Billy Sharp, then Garry Hooper, Woolford etc etc.
Wharton is resigning at the end of this season, thus no seating or ground improvements at Glandford Park, no fees for bringing in players, low wage offers etc etc, at the end of this season as Wharton stated a few weeks ago, HE WANTS HIS £500,000 LOAN BACK, THIS WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE IF THE CLUB SPENDS THEIR CASH.”

“I notice that my comment on this matter yesterday that the ST had screwed up was removed. Touch a nerve did I ?”
