UFO spotter hits headlines
A UFO spotter found herself at the centre of a national media storm after reporting an unexplained sighting to the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
In an exclusive story first featured in Wednesday's paper, Lesley Whittingham (71), of Jerusalem Cottages, Alkborough, recounted seeing unexplained bright orange and yellow tints in the skies above North Lincolnshire at around 1.30pm last Saturday.
-

After the story broke, it immediately attracted national attention and Lesley has been inundated with attention from The Sun, ITN, the BBC and Sky News.
The novice Ufologist said she had enjoyed the attention, despite being shocked by the interest in her experience.
She said "The phone has gone mad, I don't know whether I'm coming or going.
"ITN sent a taxi for me on Thursday, we must have been gone for well over five hours, it was all very exciting."
The taxi took her to a damaged wind turbine which has become Lincolnshire's very own Area 51.
The generator is said to have been damaged by a spacecraft– one of its blades is badly mangled, while another has been ripped off and has totally vanished.
UFO expert Nick Pope, who used to run the British Government's UFO project at the Ministry of Defence, called it 'one of the most intriguing UFO incidents' he had come across in two or three years.
"I am not impressed with the sceptical theories such as fireworks or adverse weather conditions contributing to the damage of the turbine," he said.

“You do realise that most UFO sightings are over the festive period? One theory is that, as humans, our defences are somewhat diminished as we are busy doing other things. The most famous case in the UK being the Rendlesham Forest incidents that took place on Christmas Day and the subsequent days in 1980!”
