United winger aims to excite during run-in
WINGER Martyn Woolford is predicting an 'exciting' end to the Championship season.
And the 24-year-old believes he is the perfect player to ensure that is the case at Scunthorpe United.

While the majority of their relegation rivals have played twice in the last 12 days, the Iron have enjoyed a rare break from action.
It's a two-week sabbatical that could not have come at a better time either for Woolford, who admits he hasn't been happy with his recent form.
The Yorkshireman has started the last four United matches, but has only completed the full 90 minutes in one of those games.
He has used the break though to work on his wing wizardry and is looking to return to his best for what promises to be a thrilling finale.
"I've been working on things that I feel I need to work on," Woolford told the Telegraph.
"I want to get back to running at players again.
"The break has given me a chance down at Leicester to get out on the pitch in some big open spaces and run with the ball a bit.
"With the weather being how it has been for so long we've had to train inside a lot, so it has been good to be out on some grass and get some running going again."

“Is assist a footballing term?”

“Pleased Adkins has stuck with Woolford as he is a player similar to Hurst who thrives on confidence. When Hurst was dropped he never really recovered and his number of assists dried up (even his corners didn't get the first man!) Hopefully this won't happen with Woolford as we need a few assists now.”

“Martyn you are a exciting player,Like a fellow supporter said the best winger since Beagrie. Being in a relegation scrap is not exciting though. I think we will stay up just. I wont be moaning with that being in this division is a great achievement. UP THE IRON”

“I'm pleased that Nigel has kept Martyn in the side despite his form not being as good as it was for most of last year. Sticking by the player will help him come back even stronger. He does need to start running at people and getting it past them again, not cutting inside all the time. He's the best winger we've had since Beagrie and we miss the delivery!”

“Has Hooper worked on his one on ones? Has Adkins decided on his best eleven? Have the team been to watch our next opponents in action, they have played twice! Doubt any of the above!”
