IT IS unlikely that Scunthorpe United striker Paul Hayes will return to Glanford Park during the January transfer window.

That’s the view of Iron manager Ian Baraclough, who is looking elsewhere for new recruits next month.

"It’s the media that won’t let the name of Paul Hayes go away," he insisted.

"Yes, I have spoken to Paul while he has been at Preston – but as a friend.

"I do not think it is a realistic option for him to come back here.

"He committed himself to a three year deal with Preston and that is something he is now only six months into."

“He's in a six month deal he wants out of and prior to Fergie Jnr. been given the Laws Elbow he was not part of the clubs plans.

Get in and make an offer - any fee will far outweigh what the costs would have been if Austerity Wharton had not blocked him staying and then had the audacity to say something else when tackled about it.

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Still on course for a Kamikaze season thanks to Chairman No.”
