Vacant position on town council
A vacancy has been created on Brigg Town Council following the resignation of councillor Sheila Boughey.
Jeanette Woollard, Brigg Town Council clerk, told members that the position had now been advertised by North Lincolnshire Council, with members of the public now able to declare an interest in joining the council.
Mrs Woollard said that if no-one had expressed an interest in the post then the town council could agree to co-opt and advertise the post internally through the council's website.
She said it would depend on the outcome of these processes as to whether an election would be held.
