A new era got underway at Glanford Park this morning as new boss Brian Laws took training this morning at Scunthorpe United.
Laws returned to take charge of the Iron for the third time today following yesterday’s decision to relieve Alan Knill of his duties with the club struggling to get out of the League One relegation zone.

Laws, who left Scunthorpe to become manager of Sheffield Wednesday in 2006, has brought Russ Wilcox back to the club as his assistant, while Chris Brass, for the moment, remains on the coaching staff.
All three took training at the club’s Grove Wharf training ground this morning, after the Iron’s new boss had addressed the players for the first time.
His first match in charge back at United comes on Saturday, at Gillingham, in the first round of the FA Cup.
Full coverage and analysis, as ever, will appear in the Scunthorpe Telegraph and on this website.
