Virus outbreak closes ward in Scunthorpe
HEALTH chiefs have closed Ward 22 at Scunthorpe General Hospital after an outbreak of Norovirus.
The ward has been closed to admissions and transfers.

Health chiefs have closed a ward at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
Restrictions were put in place on Tuesday, February 2 and the Trust's Infection Prevention and Control Team is monitoring the situation on a daily basis.
Visitors are being urged not to visit any of the hospitals operated by the Trust if they have suffered from diarrhoea and vomiting in the past 72 hours.

“At 12:33 9th February this was listed as Breaking News. Ward 22 has been closed since last Tuesday according to the article so can it really be so urgent? What would the ST do in a real emergency?”
