WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT
Speaking of God, as one does, if
it is clear that we are all generally agreed that there is a Lord God Almighty
who alone created the heavens and earth with His peoples, it begs certain
questions.

We are also, I take it, all
agreed that God is a God of unconditional love to all people.
I personally sometimes have
difficulty in considering the Christian faith belief that the way to God is
through His Son Jesus Christ and through Him to Heaven.
As Jesus only arrived in this
world some two thousand plus years ago, what has become of the billions of
people that have come and gone before Jesus or Christianity was known?
Also, what is the way to Heaven
for those people who do not follow the Christian faith and have never heard of
Jesus? How do they get to Heaven?
Whilst I appreciate that there
are many answers to my thoughts and I am sure that out there are many people
still looking for something other than blind faith. Is this too much and the belief in a Lord
God Almighty is enough and leave it at that?
Or can it possibly be that when
we all get to our life on the other side that the God of unconditional love
will not sit in judgement of His creations and (give or take some slight
sorting out for MANS imperfections on earth) that is the spiritual life for
eternity, irrespective of the Christian or any other religious belief here on
earth?

“Congratulations on returning safely from your god-baiting trip to the pub scunnyexile.
Surely this is the incontrovertible proof we've been waiting for!
And yes, I know I've spelt god with a little 'g'. I did it on purpose. Smite me down too.”

“I agree with you Bartoonian. The clergy of all the religions I know of are totally out of touch with reality. They are regularly seen to be warmongers, perverts and misogynists. How people believe what they preach is beyond me. The World would be a better place without them.
I am convinced that life on Earth is due to the Sun and the Earth's orbit around it with a little help from the Moon or am I fantasising?
If I am wrong may God strike me dead but, can you wait until I come home from the Pub?”

“Nicky Campbell's 'Big Question' on BBC1 yesterday was: Is it time for all religions to accept evolution as fact?
Maybe a more approriate topic of debate would have been: Is it time for all religions to accept that they are made up?”

“Judging by the other posts on this article, it looks like there's going to be one big traffic jam, with all of us going to hell in a hand cart or with a flesh fork up our jacksies.”
