Josh Wright committed to United despite January transfer request
MIDFIELDER Josh Wright has sought to reassure Scunthorpe United fans he remains fully committed to the club.
Having had a transfer request accepted by the Iron, he was unable to secure a move away from Glanford Park during the January window.

And although Wright admits he would welcome a loan switch, there is no disappointment on his part that he is still at the club..
"I'm willing to stay until the end of the season, I always was," said the 21-year-old.
"It wasn't that I was desperate to get out, it was just to make the club aware that I want to leave.
"It didn't happen for a couple of different reasons.
"I want to go to the right club and maybe I need to wait to the summer.
"If it happens before, then it does. If not, I'm a Scunthorpe player until the end of the season.
"And while I'm here, I'll keep giving 100 per cent."
Wright has found himself frozen out of the Iron starting XI by manager Ian Baraclough during January.
He hopes it hasn't been as a result of his actions, though he accepts the uncertainty of the transfer window could be seen as a distraction.
"The gaffer had a decision to make. Whether I'm on the bench for that reason, I don't know. I hope it's not," said Wright.
"But the gaffer makes the decisions and hopefully he knows what he's doing. If he feels that was right, that was right.
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking about where I could go, but I was always mentally focused.
"Now the window's shut and I'm a Scunthorpe player, I'm probably slightly more focused, but I was anyway.
"If I had been given my chance before, I'm sure I would have taken it.
"I'm not used to being out the team because I played a lot of games up until Christmas time.
"I want to get myself back in there because that's where I belong, out on the football pitch."
The former Charlton Athletic man hopes that chance comes this afternoon, against Hull City.
Wright knows if he puts in some impressive performances over the coming months, it will only help in his search for the right club.
However, first and foremost, he wants to help United in their battle for Championship survival.
"It's not just for me, it's for the team as well," he said.
"If everyone is playing well in the team it helps, so if I can go out there and do as well as I can, for myself and the team, then everyone is in good hands.
"I can only reassure the fans that if I'm out there playing, I will be giving 100 per cent, as I have done in training.
"The gaffer and everyone will tell you I'm giving everything I've got because of the type of player I am.
"I want to get back in the team as soon as I can, hopefully it will be today. And if it is, I will be giving it my all."

“Why take off Grant for Collins? Collins is another duff who wont put his foot in...I admire Togwells graft in a five man midfield but in a central duo, as part of 442 Wright should start everytime.
I thought we did OK yesterday until 70 mins, when Bara was called on to use his head but he didn't..tactically he lost that game, the lads gave their all and we cant ask for anymore than that.
Off the pitch we are a joke - someone explain why away fans can stand and sing in the GWS but Iron fans are removed?
Up the Iron!”

“The only plus side would be that he has to shine and play out of his skin and show that he is a team player to get offers from another team and because of his age we will get some money for him”

“It's good of him to stay until the end of the season. Seeing as he is under contract to do just that !
Not exactly swamped with offers Josh ?”
