Weather update: Snow forecast and partial school closure in Brigg
This morning's cold weather spell has resulted in a partial school closure in Brigg.
The Vale Academy's Westmoor building has no heating, affecting years 7 and 8 only.

Motorists are advised to take extra care due to icy conditions in parts of North Lincolnshire.
Meanwhile the B1400, King Edward Street, Kirton in Lindsey remains closed both ways at B1398 South Cliff Road junction because of ice. The road was first closed yesterday evening. It is not yet known when the road will reopen.
Motorists are asked to allow a little extra time for their journey this morning and pedestrians in North Lincolnshire are reminded to take care on untreated footpaths as there is some black ice which is making the surface slippery.

Met Office forecasters say today, many places will remain dry with sunny intervals, although cloud and outbreaks of rain, sleet or snow may reach the coast later. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Tonight there is expected to be outbreaks of rain, sleet or snow mainly along the coast, but temporarily becoming more widespread inland.
Later clear spells and a frost develop inland, giving a risk of icy patches. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

“King Edward Street in Kirton in Lindsey is not closed at all. It is actually the B1400 which links the B1398 and B1205 and goes past the Army/RAF Base. I saw blue lights up there the other night, and it has been closed ever since.”
