Winners – both home and away
Scunthorpe B men faced a challenging match against Lincoln B in the national over 60s Double rinks Knockout Competition.
The competition sees one rink playing at home and the other travelling away to the home of their opponents.
The home Scunthorpe rink of Alan Trown, Stan Shellard, Derek Leeson and John Rayner started well, taking an early 7-3 lead, leading 13-5 at half way and then eventually won 24-12.
The Scunthorpe rink that travelled to Lincoln was Dennis Chambers, Bill Jackson, John Painter and Ron Kelly and what a performance they turned in.

After finding themselves 6-2 down in the early stages, they turned the match around and ended up winning 19-13.
The Scunthorpe team achieved an exceptional result against a strong Lincoln side and can now look forward to a place in the next round of this National competition against Lincoln A.
