Winning streak sees Vale Academy clinch title
DURING December, 24 teams contested the Key Stage 3 (students aged 11-14) North Lincolnshire Finals of the Center Parcs National Schools Championships.
Run in the same format as the Key Stage 4 competition, teams had the opportunity to progress through county and regional levels, aiming for a finals weekend at Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest, in April.
The KS3 Boys' competition saw 14 teams from 10 secondary schools in North Lincolnshire compete in two qualifying pools.
In each match four students competed in two singles and three doubles games to create an overall match score.

The Vale Academy, Sir John Nelthorpe School, Winterton Community Academy and Brumby Engineering College reached the KS3 Boys' Finals play-offs from the qualifying pools.
The North Lincolnshire title was claimed by Vale Academy, who won all three matches, winning 12 of a possible 15 games.
The Vale Academy team was made up of Jack Tierney, Alesi Barker, Oliver Taylor and Joe Taylor.
In the KS3 Girls' competition, 10 teams competed in two qualifying pools.
South Axholme Academy, Axholme Academy and Sir John Nelthorpe School A and B teams reached the play-off finals.
The North Lincolnshire Final was a tight match with very competitive games.
The deciding match was between SJN A and Axholme, with the latter taking the title.
Making up the Axholme team was Courtney Wills, Sinead Bramhill, Georgia Green and Lauren Hall.
The boys from Vale Academy and girls from Baysgarth School will contest the Level 3 Sainsbury's School Games Humber Finals on February 7.
If successful at this event the teams could progress through to the Center Parcs Regional Finals.
