Father Christmas will be at a Winter Wonderland at Scunthorpe Market which opens today (Monday Dec 17).
North Lincolnshire Council, which manages the market, pledges the Winter Wonderland will be bringing some Christmas sparkle to The Old Hall until Sunday, December 23.
The Mayor, Councillor Ivan Glover, of Broughton, is opening the attraction today (Monday) at 10am.
Children will be able to let Father Christmas and his trusty elf know what they would like for Christmas. They can also give him their colouring competition entries that will be displayed on the Podium at the market.

Councillor Liz Redfern, of Epworth, the Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “This is a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit and I’m sure children will enjoy meeting Father Christmas and have the opportunity to hand deliver their letters with what they might want for Christmas.
“With the market’s car park being free for an hour (with a ticket displayed) it gives you plenty of time to visit the magical Winter Wonderland.
“So don’t forget to visit Father Christmas and also support your local market this Christmas season."
