Although it was a cold day the scoring was excellent, with 106 taking part.

Paul Conway, Lester Gowlett, Barry Bradshaw (current captain) and John Taylor took third place with 86 points.

The seniors' section also held the last of their winter competitions, an Am/Am Stableford.

It was seniors captain Mick Ellis, with his partners Gordon Symons and Eric Clark, who took first place with 90 points.

They finished ahead of president David Sowerby, with his team of Mel Day and Lester Gowlett, with 84 points.

Holme Hall members are now looking forward to the start of the summer season on Saturday, with the ladies' captain for 2013, Patricia Smith, holding her drive-in at 9.30 am.

The men's captain for 2013, Chris Overton, will be holding his drive-in on Sunday at 8.30am.

This will be followed by a shotgun better ball Stableford, and with over 120 already entered it looks like it will be a tough competition to win.
