Winterton Fake Festival - acts announced for May
Tribute bands and local support acts are set to rock Winterton Showground again this spring.
Winterton Fake Festival will take place on Saturday, May 25, with early bird tickets already on sale. Now in its seventh year, the Fake Festivals tour will be calling at Winterton Showground once again.
Performing this year will be Jilted Generation (Prodigy), Kazabian and Total Stone Roses. Jez Lee, founder of Fake Festivals, said: "Every year the tour just seems to go from strength to strength, and because of the huge success of the licensing system, more parts of the country are able to experience Fake Festivals, with festival goers wanting to put on their very own.
"With more places getting to enjoy some great live music courtesy of a festival rolling up right on their doorstep and some incredible new tribute acts lined up such as The Total Stone Roses, this year's tour is already shaping up to be one of the best yet."
Eddy, aka Keith Flint from Jilted Generation, said: "We've been performing for eight years bow and there have been so many great moments over the years from performing in Holland and Belgium, to headlining festivals, to playing all over the UK.
"We are the world's only full live tribute band to The Prodigy, and have been fortunate to even have former Prodigy guitarist, Gizz Butt, perform with us as part of our set."
As well as performing across the UK and Europe, Jilted Generation have shared the stage with Plan B which was an exciting experience for the band.
Eddy said: "We can't wait for the festivals.
"We're taking the Prodigy's fire and giving it to you for the first time in 2013.
"We want to see the party people having a mad one with us."With previous tours selling out, people are advised to grab their tickets now at an Early Bird price (available until April 25th) either online at www.fakefetsivals.co.uk or from local outlets. For further information about the festivals and to order early bird tickets, please visit www.fakefestivals.co.uk.
