Witnesses sought to assault in Scunthorpe town centre at weekend
Scunthorpe police are today seeking witnesses to an assault in the town centre at the weekend.
Between 11.30pm on Saturday (23 February) and 12.15am on Sunday, officers were called following a disturbance inside The Abacus, on the High Street.

A group of men involved in that are believed to have left the premises and continued the altercation outside.
An injured man was later treated by paramedics.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened inside The Abacus and once the group continued the altercation on the High Street.
A man in a yellow top is believed to have been standing outside the premises at the time. Police would like to speak to him as he may be able to provide information.
Anyone who can assist is asked to call 101, quoting log 762 of 23 February 2013.
Police said today that a 32-year-old man had been arrested and released on bail, pending further inquiries.
