Woman given black eye after being punched by man in Scunthorpe street
A Scunthorpe woman was left with a black eye on Friday after allegedly being attacked by a man in the street.
The 45-year-old woman was injured when a man approached her on Allenby Street, Scunthorpe, and allegedly punched her in the face.

She was left with a black and swollen eye socket after the assault.
The incident happened on the footpath next to the Pennybank pub on Allenby Street, Scunthorpe at around 12.30pm, on Friday, December 1.

The victim was walking alone at the time of the incident and was approached by the man who she believed she recognised.
The man struck her once in the face and then walked off in the direction of Laneham Street.
The woman did not need hospital treatment.
