Woman recovering well in hospital after being struck by Scunthorpe to Manchester train
A woman who was struck by a train on the main Scunthorpe to Doncaster railway line is recovering well in hospital today (Wednesday Jan 9).
The woman, from South Yorkshire, was taken to a Sheffield hospital by air ambulance and is now being treated for minor injuries.

The incident happened yesterday (Tuesday, January 8) and British Transport Police officers attended Thorne South station following a report of a woman being hit by a train.
Medics from South Yorkshire Ambulance Service and fire crews from Humberside and South Yorkshire also attended.
The train involved was the 9.26am Cleethorpes to Manchester Airport service via Barnetby and Scunthorpe.
A spokeswoman for the British Transport Police said: "She is being treated for minor injuries and she is recovering well.
"She is being kept in hospital for observations."
