Woman's handbag stolen as she walked along Scunthorpe street
A woman had her handbag stolen as she walked along Webster Avenue in Scunthorpe - close to the junction with Doncaster Road.
About 2pm on Saturday, September 29, a 62-year-old woman was approached by two men who attempted to steal the black handbag she had on her shoulder.

Police are asking your to call them on 101 if you witnessed this incident
The force of the approach caused the woman to fall to the floor.
The men then grabbed hold of the bag before driving away in a nearby vehicle, described as a grey BMW 3 Series.

Police said the woman was visibly shaken and sustained slight cuts and bruises to her knees and legs.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Humberside Police on 101, quoting crime reference 1933078.

You'd think driving a BMW they dont need to go robbing elderly ladies.
Im over cautious
* Never walk alone carrying anything you value.
* If your alone & on the phone, hide it if you see someone coming put it away.
* Dont carry hand bags, get the ones that go around you with a shoulder strap harder to snatch.
* Id say a personal alarm but Knowone would probably listen or hear it but it might scare them off.
Don't smoke or look like you might smoke when alone, or actually in a group lol...on a number of occasions chavs like to say give us a fag & turn it into a robbery.
