X Factor Jake Quickenden to perform during Community Champion Awards at Scunthorpe Baths Hall
Jake Quickenden from hit TV talent show The X Factor is to perform at the North Lincolnshire Community Champion Awards at The Baths Hall on Thursday, November 29.
Jake, who works at The Pods sport and leisure complex in Scunthorpe, took part in the UK series nine X Factor and got through to the judges' houses section.
North Lincolnshire Council organised the Awards and received over 115 nominations.
The awards aim to recognise and reward local people who, for whatever reason, have gone the extra mile, done something different or outstanding, or helped make a real difference to someone’s life in their community.

There are 26 awards split into four main themes -Volunteers, Achievement, Community, and Inspiration.
On the night, winners will receive an attractive glass trophy and certificate.
Sainsbury’s have kindly provided the welcome drinks for the event.
Councillor John Briggs, cabinet member for asset management, culture and housing at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “Jake is very much a local star who did really well to get as far as he did on the X Factor and we are really proud of him for representing North Lincolnshire.
“We are absolutely thrilled that he is going to perform at the North Lincolnshire Community Awards at The Baths Hall.
“The awards recognise the lengths many people go to help make a real difference to their lives or other people’s.
“It is important that we reward these people as what they’ve done is quite outstanding.”
