He is friendly with Frickley's Tom Johnston and could be in the squad for Saturday’s FA Carlsberg Trophy tie against North Ferriby.
He Tweeted: "Bin at Frickley F.C getting some physio!"
Meanwhile, Jake told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: “My main interests have always been football and singing.
“I don’t know why I didn’t study music at school because I have always interested in music.
“I was never in a band but used to always sing around the house and drive my mum mad.
“I taught myself how to play the guitar about a year ago and started writing my own songs about the same time.
“Music is my passion and something I really want to focus on now.”

“This has got the makings of a classic long running soap opera, I can't wait until tomorrows exciting episode.
I do hope it's the one where Jake gets another tattoo”

“Brilliant - another Jake story. Can we have one him biking to work or having his dinner. So much more mileage to go on this one. Ickle Scunny has a bloke on the box and the ST gives him as much airing as if he had won the show.”
